The Jr. Vet. Baby Lamb and Sheep Week, June 27-July 1, 2022
$339.00
DO NOT FORGET TO ADD THE BUS BELOW IF YOU NEED IT (BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE)
The Jr. Vet. Baby Lamb and Sheep Week is specific to sheep. Domestic sheep (Ovis aries) are quadrupedal, ruminant mammals kept as livestock. Ovis Aries typically refer to domestic sheep. Sheep are even-toed, ungulates. An adult female is referred to as a ewe, an intact male is a ram, and a castrated male as a wether. A young sheep is a lamb and yes, we are expecting our own little lamb this spring. It will be quite a treat; we have not had a baby lamb for about 8 years. Learn how to house, care for, feed and maintain the health of sheep. This program class is all about sheep but we will have many opportunities to meet all of our Farm Program animals (including horses) and learn from them also. Students will enjoy an in-depth study of one of the oldest, domesticated animals. This is an academic and skill building class and is taught by an Oregon State Certified Teacher with over 40 years of experience with livestock.
For Students going into 4th-9th grades. $339 for the week plus $58 for our safe OMF, Inc. Bus.
